Xiaoban Desktop Monitors

Keeping the lights on and working hard on several projects. One is happening at the end of the month in Shenzhen, so get ready!

It went quite well. The F is recharged! Fair enough, as they say in melbourne.

Here is how the 10 Xiaoban Speaker drivers arrived on Monday:

I added a couple to some found IKEA boxes and calculated the volumes, and made some small little truncated cone boxes which had some oomph.

Images forthcoming on the Laoban hybrids. In addition to productizing the laoban speakers, I'm most interested in hosting/running Laoban Speaker Workshops wherever to use found objects and xiaoban small drivers to make custom boxes. Its a lot of fun, inexpensive and rewarding. Lets do it again!

Matt and Lujia worked it out to get us some samples of our desktop xiaoban speakers (http://fabricatorz.com/laoban). Our next step is to tweak them, produce more and then sell them. If you are interested in these, please contact us and we'll add you to the announcement list.

This is just a nice post to tide you over until the real Xiaoban 1.0 samples arrive here in Beijing and we can post more. Promise there is movement towards making these real. Don't forget this all comes from the Laoban project.
