Cao Chang Mo (aka, Cao Chang Desert Consolidation Project)

The 2nd idea is to collect sand from around Cao Chang Di village and streets and fill up one of the spaces at your gallery to make a sand dune. (Another option would also be to gather up sand and place it at the front of the gallery.) For this installation, we would like to get some workers to help with this to collect up the sand, showing the desertification of Beijing as a slow process, but not so didactic in exhibition.

It will both help the city of cao chang di, look at this concept of desertification as already arriving and question the identity of artist as shifting from self to community.
